Welcome to the website of St Bartholomew, the Church of England parish church in the centre of the small Cornish town of Lostwithiel, the ancient capital of Cornwall and now known for its auctions room and antique shops.

We are part of the Benefice of Lostwithiel Parishes which also includes the parishes of
St Winnow with St  Nectan's Chapel, St Veep, Boconnoc, St Veep, Lanlivery and Bradoc The Rev'd Paul J Beynon BTh. is the Rector of the Benefice.

The Church Centre is open Monday to Friday from 09.00 am to 11.00 am. Entrance is via the gate at the North Street end of Church Lane.
Enquiries regarding baptisms and weddings should be made to the Benefice Administrator.

The Rector is available in the Vestry of St Bartholomew's Church on Tuesday mornings from 9.30am to 10.30am
to discuss any issues which you may have. His day off is Friday of each week.

The Church is open to visitors Monday to Friday from 10.00 am to 4.00 pm. Entrance is via the South Porch.
Currently the Church is closed during the week due to petty pilfering.
During the period from Easter to the end of September, the Church's second hand bookstall is open in the
churchyard on Saturdays
from 10 am to noon, weather permitting, and the Church may be open at that time.

The Church Rooms are situated towards the end of the section of Church Lane which is between Fore Street and South Street.

Sales Days: Tuesday, 2 August until Monday, 15 August,

excluding weekends, from 10am to 4pm


We shall be pleased to receive items in good clean condition only,

such as bric-a-brac, clothing, household linen,

small items of furniture, books, toys etc.


Please note: No electrical goods or fittings as they cannot

legally be offered for sale and no large items of any kind.
